Know my heart

" Search me O God, & know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me & lead me in the way everlasting " Psalm 139, 23 - 24

one of the reasons I write, is that I get my inner thoughts on paper. I find what lies deeper within me - somehow its a way of getting to my core, which is important to me so that I can live my life with an upright heart.

I find it a huge blessing every time I get together with my closest girl friends, especially. We love to talk about everythin - but in those moments we go deeper & look into our hearts - we get the strength to face whats lyin there, together. That to me shows the wonderful plan God has for us, that He created us to live in fellowship with each other. He knows that 'together' we are found stronger. There is a powerful change we might experience in our lives if we dare to open & share our hearts, & dare to build stronger friendships.

In times of failure though, this often becomes more difficult, & we make a statement really quick; we're not good enough.

Thats not our best way out though - For this reason;

God, who created us, He look into our hearts & when we let him; He'll lead us to walk the path He made clear for us. And - with God - there is full acceptance. Always !

While I worked in day care before christmas the kids teached me that the best gift we could give Jesus this day, on His birthday, is to show those around you that you care for 'em. Be kind too each other.. that brings a lot of joy :) Thats what Christmas is about . Thats what Jesus is about - He gave His life for us .

Today is christmas eve .

I woke up a bit too early, but I dont mind. that too me, means more time to be excited about this day & more time to enjoy this day. everything about christmas makes me happy. :)

we dont have that much snow. but I dont mind that either. All I can think of is today is christmas - TV - candy - family time - dinner - more family time - gifts - happiness & love -

The first snow

The first snow has fallen outside ! I'm the happiest girl at this moment. I do hope with all my heart that the snow will last until christmas eve. if not it certainly gives me somethin to be excited about :) Now I can really sense that christmas is gettin closer by each day. All the good memories that christmas has given me before makes me excited about this holiday :) even more I'm excited about what new & great memories I'll happen to experience this year.

its beginning to look a LOT like christmas. & lets not forget its the giving season - lets embrace it !

Go' JULESTEMNING !

Så... sakte, men sikkert nærmer vi oss desember. Idag var 1 adventsøndag ! tiden går så fort -Julaften som så mange ser frem til hvert år er her snart igjen ! jeg er all - about - christmas. Vanligvis begynner jeg juleforberedelsene i oktober, bare fordi jeg vil at jula skal vare så lenge som mulig ! men dette året er annerledes på ett vis. Julestemningen har ikke fanget meg helt. kanskje er det fordi høst feelingen fortsatt omfavner meg. Kanskje er det fordi student budskjettet begrenser julegave shoppingen. eller kanskje det er fordi jeg rett og slett ikke har tenkt så mye over at jula nærmer seg. Likevel ønsker jeg at førjulstiden skal være spesiell - og om ikke julestøvet har fortryllet meg inn i lilla & røde gledesbobler - så skal jeg gladelig være den som sprer litt julemagi rundt meg.. Derfor har lilleøster & meg satt igang med julebaking og julepynting. Idag har jeg fått gleden av å se et fantastisk JULESPILL på Intro - og fortsatt feiringen med julegløgg, pepperkaker, mandariner, julemusikk & fantastisk gode mennesker, hos debbi & meg. & egentlig er dette mye gøyere - å skape litt magi i hverdagen !

- Goin for a walk always makes you happier, especially if you walk with a good friend :)

- Don't eat too much candy before Christmas, or ....December .

- Your curls will probably never obey your instructs - get used to it !

- If you're in a bad mood - make someone else smile. its contagious

Dancin Feet

when you cant stand still at the bus station - but you do plies & tendu & releves.. or when you take a walk in the dark while you listen to your ipod & suddenly you start dancin - or if you dance while you cook dinner.. oh maybe you've started to cry in front of your dance teacher! Maybe you look at your feet an every day you find new bruises or scars. or if you wake up and the first thing you do is find a flexibility position up the wall or you look at your leg doin developes...

At this time of year, the air outside feels colder. & most likely I'm not the only one who struggles to awake in the mornings when it looks like darkest night outside. Neither am I the only one who thinks that time flies to fast because of exams and schoolwork and other stuff that needs to be done. In times like this I sense its even more important to appreciate those small moments. small moments that bring a touch of new strength & joy. Cause life gets so much better when we're able to be grateful for the smallest things. :-)

a Cup of encouragment

- Princess time for me is as simple as this -

I sit down in my white soft couch, with a mocha coffee in my hands. I take a look out my window & I'm met by a beautiful view to the sea & those majestic mountains in the horizon. I breath. & then I smile. I thank God for lovin me when I'm not worth it. I pray that no matter how I feel He will help me be a difference in a dark & hopeless world.


Cause as a Princess - You & I sometimes need to go to our Father & King to remember why He put that crown on our head.


& the answer is always the same.

PRECIOUS TIMES

last weekend I got to spend some time with my Sister & her husband & we had quiet some time together. The story I will share includes one of those experiences you either wanna forget completely....Or remember as funny ;)

Brad, my sisters husband, is american & He knew the way to Kjerag, one of Norway's most famous tourist attractions. you might have seen a picture of it - its a big rock captured in between two hill sides, 1110 m up, above sea level. actually He googled a map that we used to get there. the one problem was. google was wrong. that never happens ! well I though that never happened ! Google was wrong, & I guess I was too..

after a 1, 5 hour drive & a ferry trip we passed a sign saying " travel at your on own risk ". OK...

of course we continued driving up this road, so narrow only the tiniest car could fit, luckily our car did. & then we ended up at the very top of a little mountain.. there were a field, a tractor, a river with some fish in it, some cows & countless sheep .. sheep that enjoyed goin before our car to lead the way. .. not exactly what we foresaw.


Actually we didn't even get close to the real Kjerag, BUT we did find another mountain that we climbed & there, at the top, with a beautiful view to majestic mountains, we sat down & ate lunch, like real norwegian countrymen do :-) .

We face different challenges now & then because we carry dreams, hopes & prayers in our hearts.

We try and achieve what our heart tells us. We always want to succeed & make the best out of life. but... we are humans. we don't always get what we want. we don't always manage our goals or achieve what we intended. as humans we fail.


we find that life isn't always that easy.


but what we SO often forget when we're found in times of trouble, is that we don't have to struggle alone. we should run as fast as possible to The Savior, Jesus Christ. In His presence we're embraced with an unending love. This love has power to renew, to change, & give us everything that we're in need of. This love is all that matters.

Stavanger Updates -

A glimpse of my every day life ..

So.. I'm back to the southwest coast in Norway, this time Stavanger. A beautiful & charming town it is, except that it is raining - pretty much ALL the time. High Fashion this fall is therefore pink boots & raincoat ... ;) Thats the NICE outfit. Otherwise I pretty much walk around in sweaty dance clothes that matches a messy hair. Every friday is a high light because I can finally dress up and look a lil bit nicer than I do during classes.

During a pretty busy week I also get some company from my beautiful roomie & best friend, Debbie. We've already shared endless talks, laugh bursts, secrets.. and at the top of it, we've become addicted to the TV series desperate housewives that we watch occasionally. :p

I love having my friends over for dinner or coffeee, and take a well deserved break, & put some quality moments into a busy, stressed, frustrated bad OR good & calm day. Friends help us get back on track & they often remind us whats important in life.. Friends help us be be crazy, be kind, friends make us smile and they are a true blessing that is worth treasure - & that I'm so grateful to have.

Nothin' is more refreshing as a weekend spent with my closest girl friends. I'm amazed by these beautiful moments that we get to experience together, these moments that give us new strength & passion to keep on goin no matter how we feel & no matter our circumstances.
