Gracious Dad

So, I got reminded about how awesome it is having my life changed because of Gods grace. His grace has changed my life, the way I speak, the way I act, the way I think, the way I dream, the way I feel, the way I make decisions. His grace changes me everyday & I love how He fills me with everything I need when I put my trust in Him, His grace. How God speak & think about me, thats truth. And truth leads to freedom.. And livin a life in freedom thats joy... Smilefaces, yup, biiig smilefaces :D

.... So because of Gods grace ....

- We are saved
eph 2, 4-5

- We are healed
isaiah 53, 5

- We have everything we need
Matt 6, 25-34

- We don't have to worry about anything
1. pet 5, 7

- We can dream BIG
psalm 138, 8

- We can pray BIG
Luk 1, 37

- We are princesses & princes
1. john 3, 1

" Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy & find grace to help us in our time of need. " heb 4, 16

Because of His grace we can love God, people & life.. & if this is what God says about us.. how awesome is He, like.. really. & this is just some of all the things He says about our identity, our lives and our future.. You can complete the list ;)

How a perfect weekend in NYC is like

After staying in NYC for a month now, we start enjoying this life more and more... No days are the same. All days are exciting. Some days are miss-home days. Some days are exhausting days. Some days are life changing. Some days are hilarious. Some days we will never forget. Some days are filled with more love. Some days are simply joy. But everyday God is the same. And everyday He is the one we need most.

This weekend is one of the weekends were everything has been amazing & perfect. Started out friday night with hours of dancing at Webster Hall, a four floors dance club. Oooo Giiirls just wanna have fun & we did ! We had the most fun of everybody in the club, we new it & they knew it :-) Saturday we spent a beautiful day in Central Park and got to know the park better. We also met Ine, one of our norwegian dance friends from our school as we went to Brooklyn to see a free dance performance because of a dance festival this weekend. Ended it with long nice girl talks at one of the bars in the beautiful area Dumbo right in the middle og Brooklyn Bridge & Manhatten Bridge.

Filled with dancer attitude & love for dance.

A calm sunday with many skype dates & Hillsong Church.. Thats how a perfect weekend is ended :)

Dangerous temptations

Its this place, Magnolia Bakery, which is known for their cupcakes.. And the coffee is like... yeah, when I have it I can do nothing but smile & dance inside :) The mocha coffee is just perfect! As one of my dance teachers from Sandnes, Cecilie, said when we met in the city and had ice cream; I'm in NYC to dance & eat ice cream. For me its like... the same with coffee.. and cupcakes :)

Best friends in NYC having coffee & cupcakes from Magnolia bakery. Thats just love <3

Our new daily life

I slowly start realizing that my new home is here. New York City. I'm not really sure how it all happened, me here in NYC with Maria, but I know for sure that this decision was influenced by what God has put in my heart, and I know that this new home is exactly where I'm supposed to be for the next few months. The days Maria & I are living now is so very different from what we're used to. Especially the fact that we have time. Time to do what we love. Dance. Time to eat lunch in the park. Time to walk in the streets and just feel the city life. Time to make unforgettable memories. Time to watch gossip girl. Time to sleep. Time to eat.. and eat again. Time to live life. Time to learn about life. Time to make friendships. Time to get to know people. Time to get closer not only to people, but time to be with God. Get closer to God. The fact that we actually have time have also been difficult to accept. But to have time is oh sooo wonderful. & it's really time for us to have some time. :)

This is how one of our normal days looks like now;

Cereal in our NYC princess cups .

6 train to Brooklyn Bridge, City hall, to take our dance classes at DNA.

Lunch at our favorite place, Pick a bagel .

Or at this place. Just as the american, runnin on dunkin .

Preparing ourselves for girls night, gossip girl & candy.

our precious precious candy.

or brownies ... we're dancers, we are creative.

Walking through the squirrel park

just to see our our new best friend

or meet one of this city's talented artists.

Shopping in our neighborhood

Then .. after a long and exhausting but incredible fun day, we use our cooking skills, and volá... dinner is ready !

To end the day sitting at the window sill in my new pink room, looking down at the street from 9th floor. Listening to music, worship God, read my bible & write in my diary.. Thats mmm, also pretty sweet.

Una semana interesante

So this last week has really been .. ehm. interesting. It started out perfectly. Louis brought Maria, me & Elliot to Manhatten Beach where some of his friends had this american barbecue party, which means food, and I'm not talkin one burger, this is a barbecue that starts at 11 am and last all the day. In other words. Food all day. Great for two norwegian girls that have spent to much money on shopping and really need to learn how to live cheaper in this city. Soo Barbecue, licking sun, frisbee and volley ball . Yep, that was an awesome start of this week.

Well.. Then something weird happens. Our precious milk starts to get more and more empty without us drinking it.

First morning.
- Marielle I think someone have had some of our milk..
- Ok ... hm, I wonder who takes our milk and drink it just like that ... ( thinking; they probably just needed some of it when they cooked something. )

Second morning.
- Marielle, didn't we have enough milk for two days yesterday ?
- Yeah, we talked about that.
- Well, we need to buy new milk today...

Third morning.
-Maria, where are our cereal bowls that we need for breakfast ?
-What do you mean ? Are they not in your kitchen ?
- We probably left them at your floor, we had noodles the other day.
-Ok, I'll go down and find them.

... 2 min later ...

- Marielle, we left them at your kitchen remember, we always have breakfast here..

Cereal bowls & spoons gone .

Evening.
- Maria, how much milk did we exactly have this morning ?
( Big, shocked eyes looks up at me )
- well, we had milk for at least one more day.
- well, I threw what was left. There was nothing left.

Maria : I know what we do ! We mark how much milk we have left and see if it still disappears.
Me : Great idea, give me the pen

..... Next day & next thing we know. Less milk and cereal in our NY princess cups ....

- Maria, We're moving down to YOUR kitchen, now.

The best is yet to come

" You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance.. Those living far away fear your wonders; where morning dawns and evening fades you call forth songs of joy. " psalm 65, 11 & 8
